The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services has established the Master of Public Health (MPH@GW) as an innovative new program that combines the flexibility of an online degree with on-the-job experience. George Washington University was looking for a way to attract students from all over the world to enroll in this top master’s program with career opportunities in the field. Our team worked closely with our partners to deliver on MPH@GW’s strategic goals.
The university had to deal with its unique program while emphasizing the aspect that students can take while enrolling. After all, students in this program benefit from intimate virtual lectures and international hands-on training in developing countries.
As well as their innovative approach to curriculum, our team revamped the existing George Washington University style guide with a new twist to promote the degree. The messaging, typography and photography pushed the boundaries to create a bold look and feel that will have a big impact on potential students. Our aim was to keep the campaign as authentic as possible: using a combination of university images taken on our shoot with field images where the students would be learning – sourced from real photographers in areas such as Africa.
Final deliverables included a print and digital lookbook detailing the program, print ads, fact sheets, banner ads and email templates. Students can enter all three SPH majors (BS of Exercise Science, BS of Nutrition, and BS of Public Health) as first-year students when they apply to GW through the Office of Undergraduate Studies using the Common Application. GWSPH will admit all qualified applicants to the major through internal transfer. Students must have a 2.75 GPA or higher to earn a master’s degree in public health and a 2.5 or higher to qualify for a master’s degree in exercise or nutrition.
